About the role:
We are seeking a self-motivated, well-organised individual who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing client relationships in the Southeast. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential projects and opportunities, setting realistic growth targets, and contributing to the company's sales strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and industry partners
2. Identify and qualify new business opportunities
3. Represent the brand and take responsibility for the sale of capital equipment in a given sales territory
4. Achieve agreed sales targets as specified
5. Provide all necessary information to the Sales Support department to facilitate order processing and machine delivery
6. Complete all sales related documents accurately and timely (i.e., warranty, service contracts, etc.)
7. Utilise and maintain CRM system encompassing call planning, sales opportunities, market intelligence, competitive activity, and forecasting
8. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads
9. Maintain close liaison with customers and other departments to ensure the promotion of exemplary customer service
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Basic knowledge of plant industry
2. Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel)
3. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
4. Strong communication and excellent presentation skills
5. Strong negotiation and closing skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team - desirable
7. Vast experience of working in a similar role and industry - desirable
8. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets - desirable
9. Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools - desirable
