As MEICA Project Manager you will be joining a leading wastewater specialist with offices throughout the UK and Ireland. You will be joining a team working on a variety of wastewater projects, new installation, refurbishment and upgrade throughout Northern Ireland. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will undertake design, bid preparation, equipment specification, site asset surveys, energy efficiency and project management roles at construction and commissioning stage. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will provide design and coordination for the MEICA aspects of current projects.
As MEICA Project Manager your role will include but not be limited to the following:
1. Instrumental throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of projects.
2. Conduct site asset surveys at scoping stage and commissioning/handover stage.
3. Assist in preparation of mechanical design, specification, equipment orders and schedules.
4. Liaison with operations and maintenance staff during initial scope and upgrade works.
5. Attending design and progress meetings, tender handover and pre-start meetings.
6. Effective commercial engagement to manage risk and performance.
7. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely management of both temporary and permanent design, to meet the requirements of each project.
8. Ensuring compliance with current industry standards.
9. Working to meet Health and Safety and overall project quality objectives.
In order to be considered for the role you will have:
10. Educated to Degree/HND level, or equivalent, in an industry related discipline.
11. Over 3 years’ postgraduate experience within the wastewater industry.
12. Awareness of Health and Safety, DSEAR and HAZOP requirements.
13. Mechanical specifications, general, outline and detailed system design drawings.
14. Proficient MS Office, MS Project (or Primavera).
Desirable requirements include:
15. Good working knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 contract conditions, CDM regulations.
16. Appropriate Health & Safety qualifications e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH.
