The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our client’s growing team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects, where you will be responsible for managing and delivering ground investigations, providing expert technical advice, supervising site teams, and providing consultancy services to clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare scoping proposals, quotations, and tenders for new and existing projects, ensuring resource requirements are accurately considered.
Manage and implement ground investigations, including desk studies, site works, laboratory testing, and final reporting.
Provide site inductions and supervise drilling teams and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Produce technical reports, calculations, and drawings, ensuring that documentation is correctly controlled and meets quality standards.
Offer expert advice and technical recommendations to clients and regulatory authorities on geotechnical and geo-environmental matters, including foundation design, slope stability, contaminated land risk assessments, and waste management.
Provide support to junior engineers, offering guidance, training, and sharing your technical expertise.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, welfare, quality, and environmental procedures.
Adhere to the principles of equality, ensuring a commitment to anti-discriminatory practices.
Your Skills and Experience
A degree in Engineering Geology, Geo-environmental Engineering, or a related field.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience in ground investigations and geotechnical/geo-environmental engineering.
Familiarity with geotechnical analysis, contaminated land risk assessments, and hydrogeological studies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
A proactive approach to managing projects and delivering high-quality technical reports.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to site locations when required.
