Arts and Event Stewards at Freshley Greated
Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, United Kingdom
Summary
Event Stewards to support at all sorts of exciting creative events and activities, guiding and informing the public, setting up, and keeping people safe.
Detailed Description
Freshly Greated works closely in and with people living in neighbourhoods in the most socio-economically deprived areas of Great Yarmouth and Gorleston, mostly Cobholm, Southtown, Barrack Estate, and the Mag Estate.
By working collaboratively, they enable people to lead and influence creative activities for their communities. This ensures activities are relevant, fun, and reach an audience that does not usually engage, increasing participation in the arts among groups of people who are currently least likely to get involved as either audiences or creators.
As an Event Steward, you will help deliver this exciting mission. You'll also take part in interesting creative events and meet a variety of people from different backgrounds.
You'll be provided with all the support and guidance you need, and on larger events, refreshments are provided for volunteers.
Cultural Connections is a NEW project promoting volunteering in the arts, heritage, and cultural sector. We've just added a few events and activities, but there are plenty more to come!
It's an easy and fun way to get into volunteering for residents of Great Yarmouth and East Suffolk. You can volunteer at exciting arts, heritage, and cultural events and activities, including festivals. Volunteer as little or as much as you like and choose the kind of volunteering that works for you, including online volunteering. If you’ve never volunteered before, or you think it might be difficult for you, we’ll support you every step of the way. You'll meet new people, learn new skills, build confidence, and even earn rewards.
