Position: Water Hygiene Technician
Location: Birmingham / Midlands
Salary: £29,966 per annum
Benefits: Vehicle, pension, medical, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Roles requires staying away overnight as required long distant travel

Job Purpose:
To assist in the delivery of an effective National Water Hygiene Service to ASDA stores.
The Water Hygiene Technician will be working alongside a Water Hygiene Technician Mate. You will be working together and sharing a van.
The role will be working permanent night shifts, usually Monday –Thursday Nights (4 Nights), you will be working away from home all the time during the week. So you will be leaving home at some point on a Monday and getting back home at some point on a Friday.
City FM will cover all your accommodation expenses when you are staying away during the week and you will also have an evening meal allowance and your breakfast covered every night you are away.
Key Accountabilities:
* To carry out the cleaning and chlorination of cold water storage tanks and where practicable their associated down systems in Asda premises (nationally) subject to 6 monthly risk based inspection.
* The cleaning and chlorination tasks are generally undertaken outside normal store trading hours, to minimise disruption to trading.
* Assist with servicing schedule for Kalguard water softening systems.
* Undertake servicing of cold water drink dispensers when requested.
* To assist in any other water hygiene related tasks as instructed by the water hygiene supervisor or national manager.
* At all times ensure priority is given for the Health and Safety of colleagues, contractors and members of the public whilst carrying out job related tasks.
* To represent the company in a professional manner always and develop a good working relationship with City and Asda colleagues in all stores and ALS sites.
* To notify night technician of any defective equipment.
* To maintain stock levels of consumables and chemicals. Inform night technician of any stock or equipment issues.
Background / Experience / Skills Required:
* Must be able to work permanent night shifts and work away from home during the week, every week, so leaving home on a Monday and getting back home on a Friday
* Must have a full and valid driving licence and be prepared to travel all over the UK
* Legionella related qualifications Hot & Cold systems Risk Assessing Disinfection Water Regulations
