**Job Title:** Vehicle Technician
Rugby, Monday to Friday 8.30 - 17.30, alternate Saturdays 8.30 - 12.30 | £36,000-£40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
The company has been a family-run Land Rover specialist based in Rugby for over 50 years, dedicated to delivering the highest quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
This role requires displaying a professional appearance and attitude at all times, reassuring customers that their requirements are understood and prioritized.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, conveying clear and accurate messages to colleagues and potentially clients, while playing a key role in maximizing productivity within the service department.
To succeed, you must be organized and methodical in your approach, working closely with the Workshop Supervisor.
Requirements:
* Current experience as an Automotive Technician or a similar role
* Minimum Level 3 Qualification with preferably an MOT licence (not essential)
* Good time keeping and presentation qualities
* Commitment to delivering technical excellence
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to multi-task within a busy environment
* A good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning
* A keen eye for detail
* Computer literate
* Familiarity with 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles, Sports Utility Vehicles, and Land Rovers is beneficial but not necessary
Responsibilities:
* Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair work as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor
* Correctly diagnose vehicle faults using Diagnostic equipment and seek technical assistance if required
* Complete associated administration tasks related to maintenance work
* Maintain a clean and safe workshop area, adhering to a culture of safe working practices
* Contribute to maintaining workshop equipment to ensure safety and reliability
* Participate in daily operations supporting the day-to-day running of Douglass Motors Ltd.
