This role is a vital position within the charity who is responsible for all Financial statutory reporting for the group. It is responsible for ensuring financial transparency, accountability and compliance in accordance with financial regulations and standards. This role involves overseeing the financial audit process, production of management accounts, overseeing internal financial controls, and providing financial advice to support the charity’s best life possible strategy. Day to Day (list not exhaustive see attached job description) Technical Finance expert who is responsible for compliance in accordance with financial regulations and standards. Liaison with external auditors and responsible for the preparation of the group’s statutory accounts. Responsible for the integrity of the balance sheet and the production of monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting for the group. Lead on the financial integration of any new business resulting from M&A Responsible for the timely submission of key financial information to the necessary bodies e.g. HMRC, VAT, ONS, CQC, Gift aid. Will be responsible for overseeing the production of the internal management accounts, ready for review by the Finance Business Partners. Set expectations and manage, monitor, coach and develop team members to ensure that they maximise their performance, meet the required standards, and continuously develop their capabilities and experience Our ideal Candidate Skills and Experience ACA / ACCA Qualified - Essential Significant experience in financial management, audit, or related roles, preferably within the charitable sector. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements for charities. Substantial experience in financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting, preferably in a group structure.
