Our client is a construction company specialising in healthcare projects. They are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare facilities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Their projects range from hospital refurbishments, new theatres and install of MRI and CT scanners, to working in private health care facilities, all requiring a thorough understanding of both construction processes and healthcare regulations.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Senior Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of healthcare construction projects. You will work closely with all stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the client, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Management Support: Assist in managing site operations to ensure project objectives are met.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
* Quality Control: Monitor and uphold quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Coordination and Communication: Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.
* Resource Management: Assist in managing resources effectively to meet project needs.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations.
* Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during construction.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Education & Experience:
o At least 2-3 years of experience in site management or a similar role, preferably in healthcare construction projects.
o Experience with construction projects, including hospital or healthcare facility construction, is highly desirable.
* Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and healthcare-specific building requirements.
* Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
o A proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
o Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
o Ability to work effectively within a team and under the supervision of a Senior Site Manager.
* Certifications:
o Health and Safety certification: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid.
