About The Role
This will involve playing an important part within the Income team with collecting and counting the cash that has been used in our Car Parks, Public Toilets, Council Offices and other council establishments across the bay.
You'll need to have an eye for detail with good numeracy skills by keeping accurate records, ability to make decisions in different situations and react to service demands.

The selection process is likely to include the following:
1. A Panel Interview
This position is for a fixed term of 12 months from the start date.
This post requires a Standard Criminal Level Check. This will show details of all spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions that have not been filtered in line with legislation.

Skills
Essential:
* Must be able to demonstrate personal effectiveness and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and to meet agreed guidelines.
* Effectively manage lone working and personal responsibility for completing duties accurately, to include effective organisational skills.
* Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and confrontations with members of the public whilst carrying out collection duties. You will need to use tact and persuasion to deal with these situations and be able to provide support, advice & guidance.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Knowledge of cash in transit procedures, cash handling, and/or financial systems, Health and Safety requirements, Risk Management, and insurance policies.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* To have worked in an environment which required cash handling skills and security of resources is important.
