Purpose of role: To work within the digital team to generate traffic-driving stories and engaging features which lead the agenda among women’s lifestyle sites. This is a hybrid role and you will need to be available to travel to London three days a week. Day to day you will: Spot and produce brilliant, traffic-driving stories and always beat competitors to the biggest talkers of the day Create a varied ideas lists taking in viral stories, emerging trends and original takes on news stories Be comfortable producing hard hitting features relevant to the Fabulous audience Have a keen eye for visuals to ensure stories are always illustrated with the best pictures, videos and graphics Be happy interviewing a wide range of people including celebrities, experts and real life case studies Be able to produce sparkling copy at speed and to tight deadlines Use your Knowledge of SEO and web publishing Be a self-starter - you will need to thrive under the pressure of a busy newsroom Use your knowledge of the IPSO Code of Conduct, media law and ethical considerations What we are looking for from you: At least a year working at a major digital brand, including in women’s lifestyle Experience of features or real life writing Unflappable under pressure and delivers work at a consistently high standard quickly Pro-active, adaptable and displays a willingness to take on any task Positive attitude and good team players Takes initiative in order to achieve desired results Can demonstrate an understanding of the The Sun brand Willingness to work flexible hours over a seven-day rota pattern We are News UK : One of the leading media businesses in the UK and Ireland.
