Our client, a prestigious Top 200 law firm with an office in Manchester, is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their team. This firm specializes in personal injury, housing disrepair, clinical negligence, and industrial disease (including military cases), and is committed to delivering exceptional legal services with compassion and expertise.
The Role:
The Military Disease Paralegal will play a pivotal role in assisting solicitors with case management and departmental operations. Responsibilities will encompass a blend of administrative duties and file-handling tasks, contributing to the seamless functioning of the team.
* Case Management Support: Assist solicitors in managing caseloads, ensuring efficient progression of cases.
* Administrative Excellence: Handle administrative tasks to support daily departmental operations.
* Client Care: Provide empathetic support to clients who have experienced traumatic events and severe injuries.
* Deadline Management: Balance competing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, attending regional offices as needed and supporting other regions.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in additional duties as required, contributing to the firm's growth and success.
You will have:
* Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with the Civil Procedure Rules and Pre-Action Protocol for Clinical Disputes is advantageous.
* Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Proclaim is a plus.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
* Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Educational Background: Degree-level education is essential; LLB and LPC qualifications are preferred.
* Experience: Proven experience as a Paralegal essential. Previous experience as a paralegal in military/disease is an advantage. If the successful candidate has experience in civil litigation it is an advantage but not required.
