Make a Difference as a Learning Support Assistant in Harlow!
Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential? We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Harlow. In this role, you’ll provide vital one-to-one support for a child with additional Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalized, one-on-one support to a child with SEN, tailoring learning activities to meet their specific needs.
* Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement effective learning plans.
* Build the child’s confidence, independence, and social skills through both emotional and practical support.
* Support classroom activities, ensuring the child feels included in group tasks and school life.
* Monitor progress, maintaining regular communication with staff and parents to foster the child’s development.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment where every child is valued.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
* A warm, patient, and empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills.
* A proactive mindset with the ability to tackle challenges creatively.
* Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the child and the school environment.
* ️ Knowledge of safeguarding practices (training available if required).
Requirements:
* ✅ A valid, up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
