The Amesbury Community Team are looking for an inspirational Physiotherapist to deliver a high standard of quality care to patients within the community setting. Wiltshire Health and Care is proactive in developing community-specific training and can offer a supportive and friendly environment in which to learn new skills.
You will be responsible for providing highly skilled therapy care to the residents within our geographical area, promoting the health of the population, reducing the effects of ill health and disability, and maximizing the individual's potential for independence.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work closely with General Practices, Social Services, and other statutory and non-statutory services to meet the needs of the local population, so excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
As well as bringing your clinical expertise, you will be a champion of integrated community care. You will be a strong team player, an excellent communicator who is adaptable, committed, organized, and able to work well under pressure. You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality safe and sustainable clinical and operational leadership under the direction of the team leaders and clinical lead. The therapy team are expected to cover planned and urgent occupational therapy and physiotherapy assessments and treatment as well as supporting the Home First, discharge to assess pathway. Participation in the weekend therapy rota will also be required.
We cover a large geographical area, so access to a vehicle to travel to visit patients is essential. We work a 7-day shift pattern from 08:30 to 16:30. For this post, it is essential that you can drive and have access to a car.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MCSP Dip PT / BSc / BSc(Hons) PT / MSc Physiotherapist
* Registered as a Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professionals Council
* Teaching and assessing in clinical practice
* Experience of applying research-based information to practice
* Non-medical prescriber
* Leadership and Management training
* Further qualifications relevant to community practice
Experience
* Up to date community experience
* Experience of working with adults
* Working with a multi-disciplinary team
* Teaching experience
* Knowledge of recruitment, selection & appraisal system
* Setting and monitoring standards of care
* Experience within a wide range of patient/client care groups
* Profiling community needs and targeting identified health needs of population
* Evidence of innovative and flexible approach to care and the organization of care
* Awareness of recent Government initiatives that may affect future clinical practice
* To be knowledgeable of the clinical governance agenda and have an awareness of commissioning
Additional Criteria
* Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
