The Opportunity
Join a fast-growing renewable energy developer specializing in ground-mount solar farms and commercial rooftop solar projects across the UK. We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager with a passion for solar energy to identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive sales success.
This is a hybrid role with nationwide opportunities, but occasional office visits to Leeds or Exeter will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify new prospects within the solar and VO market.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, and industry events.
Conduct fact-finding meetings and present tailored solar solutions to clients.
Manage the sales process from initial engagement to contract close.
Maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM and provide market insights to the team.
Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and training programs as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in Business Development / Sales (preferably within the solar industry).
Strong knowledge of Commercial PV, VO, and PPA solutions.
Results-driven mindset with the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
