Planned maintenance, servicing, repair and calibration of across all clinical areas of electronic medical equipment which will include working on high risk devices including Ventilators, more complex neonatal equipment, Lung Function systems A proportion of this post will involve the day to day running of the Furness general site including the planning and prioritisation of engineers workload on the site including planning for service activities and visits. This may also include being a Tri-site lead for additional designated duties listed within this job description. Deputise in the absence of the Chief medical Engineering Technician To provide specialist technical knowledge on any clinical incidents involving medical devices. Action any Medical device related alerts received from the MHRA Actively engage with the quality management system to identify efficiencies for the site and the service.
