Exciting Opportunity to Join a Global Manufacturing Leader as Site Operations Manager in Wigan An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our client, a global manufacturing leader (c.$1bn Group Revenue). As the Site Operations Manager for our client's Manufacturing Site near Wigan, you'll be reporting into a Group Operations Director and responsible for leading the full end-to-end operation of a fast-paced Continious Process 245 Site. You'll have 3 direct reports (Engineering Manager, Production Manager & Warehouse Manager) with c.70 indirect reports and an Ops Budget of circa £6m. Key Responsibilities of Site Operations Manager: Site Strategy & Leadership As the Site Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that align production processes with business objectives to increase yield, profitability and throughput, identifying & leading Continuous Improvement Activities on-site to reduce waste & inefficiency. Decrease Downtime Minimising downtime is key to maintaining efficient factory performance. As the Site Operations Manager, you'll work closely with the maintenance and production teams to identify and eliminate downtime issues. You'll implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure equipment is always running at optimal capacity. Manufacturing Management & Operational Excellence Managing day-to-day activities associated with running large-scale plants comes naturally when one has experience managing staff from different departments effectively. As the Site Operations Manager, you'll lead and manage the production team to ensure that all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively. You'll also be responsible for implementing operational excellence initiatives like LEAN, 5S, SMED, KAIZEN, and SIX SIGMA programs to drive continuous improvement. Health & Safety As the Site Operations Manager, you'll ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, and you'll implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Qualifications / Skills Required for Site Operations Manager: Qualified by Experience OR Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field Extensive knowledge and experience of Site / Production / Manufacturing / Operations Management within a continuous production / manfuacture process environment. Holds NEBOSH Certificates (or similar) Knowledgeable about HSE regulations - Experience implementing approved policies/procedures related thereunto desirable Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving targets For the successful Site Operation Manager, a salary of up to £80,000 Car Package is on offer.
