HR Manager - Manufacturing Candour Talent Recruitment is looking for an HR Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company in South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take a leadership role in shaping and driving HR initiatives within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Role Overview: The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring compliance with UK employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role includes managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, HR policy implementation, and supporting leadership with HR strategy. Key Responsibilities: HR Strategy & Compliance - Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring adherence to UK employment laws and best practices. Recruitment & Onboarding - Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding new hires. Employee Relations - Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary processes. Performance & Development - Support managers in handling employee performance, training, and career progression. HR Systems & Reporting - Maintain HR records, generate reports on key metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism), and drive HR process improvements. Culture & Engagement - Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, implement wellbeing initiatives, and organise team-building events. Payroll & Benefits - Support payroll processes, manage employee benefits, and benchmark salaries to maintain competitive compensation structures. Key Skills & Experience Required: Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent qualification). Proven experience as an HR Manager, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR compliance, and best practices. Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels. Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). High level of confidentiality, trustworthiness, and adaptability.
