HSE Coordinator - Permanent
Location: Haverhill
Hours: 20 hours per week (part-time)
Salary: £26,500 pro rata
This highly successful global company seeks an HSE Coordinator to join the organisation. A part-time role of 20 hours per week could fit in with school hours or someone looking to reduce their hours. You will be the primary contact for employees and supervisors and must have worked as an HSE Coordinator. 1 year of health, safety and environment experience is preferred and you must have a NEBOSH certificate to be successful.
The primary purpose of the HSE Coordinator is to be responsible for implementing and monitoring site-specific health, safety and environmental operations and tasks at the site.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
1. The HSE Coordinator should understand the use of protective equipment and safety systems of work.
2. Conduct regular inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
3. Conduct first-level investigations of workplace accidents and injuries updating SSoWs.
4. Provide training and mentoring in HSE-related topics.
5. Identify hazards and potential risks and stop serious unsafe situations, without reprisal.
6. Oversee contractors on site.
7. Attend regular meetings with management.
8. Audits and continuous improvement.
9. Training and development.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
2. NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation or equivalent.
3. Good health, safety and environment-related experience.
4. Experience working in manufacturing or retail industries.
5. Experience in providing training would be an advantage.
