The children at this school are curious, kind, and enthusiastic students who enjoy coming to school and learning new and exciting things. There are a number of students who have SEMH and need 1-1 support to ensure their emotional and academic growth.

Role Details
* Position: SEMH Learning Support Assistant
* Location: Basildon, Essex
* School Type: Primary school
* Contract: Full-time, term time only, Long-term to Permanent
* Salary: £83- £100 per day
* Start Date: January

Your New Role and Responsibilities:
* Supporting children in small group interventions and on a 1:1 basis.
* Encouraging pupils to stay motivated and on track during their lessons.
* Supporting in classes, assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and dealing with behavioural issues.
* Creating a safe and positive learning environment where pupils feel valued and respected.
* Supporting the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs and interests of pupils.
Experience/Qualifications:
* Previous classroom experience in a similar role.
* A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or social care (desirable but not essential).
* TEAMTEACH trained (desirable but not essential).
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* The ability to facilitate a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
* Positive attitude and team player.
