The opportunity

Helping to make sure the day to day operations of our theatre, ward, outpatients and other clinical departments run smoothly with medical device input.
* You will be responsible for the day to day overseeing of coordination of medical devices for the whole hospital site and troubleshooting with various equipment issues.
* You will be expected to liaise with various company representatives and our 3rd party medical device contractor Avensys and obtain quotes for new equipment.
* You will chair monthly and quarterly medical device meetings, liaising with head office and networking with other MDL at other Nuffield sites, as well as with Representatives from each department onsite regarding equipment issues and compliance.
* As a lot of your work is administration you must have the relevant IT experience to navigate the use of MSWord, Excel, power-point and the databases for equipment on our fixed asset register, Equipment Compliance, Staff competency compliance, as well as the weekly updates of the National Joint register, Breast register and Spinal register when this one commences in 2024.
* We also expect you to have a past experience of working with medical devices, their maintenance, annual compliance, being able to teach others how to use the equipment and validate that staff are competent to use the equipment
* You will also be involved in supporting the Theatre department and porter patients to and from theatre.

* You are diligent and IT literate, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities.
