We are working with a leading regional law firm, who are looking for a skilled and ambitious Contentious Probate Solicitor with 4-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their newly established office in the heart of the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a growing team, where you will report directly to the Head of Department. The role will complement the firm's non-contentious probate team, while also allowing you to work independently and build a steady flow of new instructions from external referrers and private wealth bodies. Key Responsibilities: Managing a diverse caseload of contentious probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, and estate administration challenges. Collaborating with the non-contentious probate team to provide seamless service to clients. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external referrers, private wealth bodies, and other professional contacts, generating a steady stream of new instructions. Offering expert advice on contentious probate matters, demonstrating a deep understanding of the area and a passion for dispute resolution. What We're Looking For: UK qualified solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE, and a solid background in contentious probate work. Continual contentious probate workload in most recent roles. A proven track record of developing business and building strong external networks. A self-motivated, proactive individual capable of managing their own caseload while contributing to team success. Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
