We are currently seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our Enhanced Primary Mental Health Service (EMPHS) based in Hemel Hempstead and covering Hemel Hempstead and St Alban's.
EPMHS sit under the The Primary Care Mental Health Services and in NW Hertfordshire the EPMHS is a relatively new service providing interventions to those not meeting the criteria for secondary mental health services but may need more than is offered by Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Services.
The OT will also assist in the delivery of various group and 1:1 interventions which are evidence-based to equip those with moderate and severe mental health distress to devise recovery plans. The post holder will work with SU's referred in from GP surgeries and also work with service users who have 'stepped down' from community mental health teams and require some ongoing time-limited interventions.
The successful applicant will offer occupational therapy focused interventions and will lead a service focused on occupation, occupational identity and occupational recovery. As a new service, this will be a great opportunity to enhance your clinical skills by developing the OT pathway within EPMHS with support from both the EPMHS manager, the OT team and wider support from within the HPFT OT team.
