This full-time, contract role provides a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment, supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. As an SEN Class Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, helping them develop their confidence, academic skills, and emotional well-being. Working closely with a supportive team, you will play a key role in creating a structured and safe learning environment that fosters personal and academic growth. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons suited to students with SEMH needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and progress. Monitor and assess student development, adapting teaching strategies where necessary. Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and parents to create tailored learning plans. Promote positive behaviour management strategies to support student well-being. Contribute to school-wide initiatives that enhance learning and social development. Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with SEMH or SEN needs is desirable but not essential. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students. A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
