About the role
We are seeking a HRIS Analyst to join our people operations team, specializing in the Absence and Time Tracking modules of Workday. You’ll be part of a small central team where you will balance day-to-day priorities with project work.
As the HRIS Analyst, you will be the point of contact for Absence and Time Tracking, and ensure effective use of the system by updating, configuring, improving, and providing expertise on the system for the HR department and wider business groups.
You will also be responsible for performing data analysis to ensure the system is properly recording specific metrics while ensuring information security, testing updates, and improving process efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Workday HR System, be able to navigate different software through use and learning, and demonstrate tenacity to solve system challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Able to translate and configure functional requirements from the business to update the Absence and Time Tracking modules of Workday.
2. Function as an expert for Workday administration - HCM transactions, business process configuration, and design, including advising the HR team, managers, and employees in the proper use of the system to optimize the Absence and Time Tracking modules.
3. Provide technical support to HR and end-users, troubleshooting and resolving system issues promptly.
4. Perform ongoing maintenance regarding tenant set-up, data updates (EIBs), business processes, and reporting.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Absence and Time Tracking data with other HR systems.
6. Assess requirements and perform impact assessments to support the Change team in identifying impacts between the business as is and the to be processes in Workday.
7. Monitor and maintain data integrity within the modules, ensuring accurate absence and time tracking records.
8. Promote the best possible user experience in Workday through simplified and automated processes.
9. Support training and engagement to ensure our key stakeholders are fully utilizing Workday post go-live.
10. Work with HR to develop and generate reports and dashboards which provide insights into absence and time tracking data to drive analytics-based decision making. Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches.
11. Ensure that the Absence and Time Tracking modules adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
12. Create and maintain system documentation, including processes, configurations, and user guides.
13. Work with the project teams in the analysis, development, implementation, and support of allocated HR projects & changes.
Impact and Contributions:
1. Address department and end-user needs and requirements; assess available options and suggest system customizations and new applications.
2. Ensure Workday processes are documented and compliant with HR strategies, policies, and governmental regulations.
3. Properly train end users on new processes or enhancements of Workday.
4. Provide technical support for HRIS, including researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
5. Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and/or major variations to system utilization.
6. Lead in the review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or patches specific to Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules.
Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:
1. Minimum of 4 years as an HRIS analyst with 2+ specializing in Workday's Absence and Time Tracking modules.
2. Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end HR processes and compliance requirements related to absence and time tracking.
3. Knowledge of requirement gathering techniques, project management, and HRIS systems development methodologies with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
4. Proficiency in Workday's reporting and analytics tools.
5. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Experience in data auditing.
7. Knowledge of GDPR standards.
8. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
9. Fluent in both oral and written English.
Nice to Have Experience:
1. Experience in Workday modules, including HCM, Reporting, Recruitment, Compensation.
2. Workday Certification or Workday Pro certifications would be preferred.
3. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
4. Qualification in project management is desirable.
