We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Aerothermal expert to lead and manage our aerodynamics and thermal systems attributes for all vehicle programmes. This unique position requires a blend of hands-on expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the ability to manage suppliers and resources to deliver top-tier aerodynamic and thermodynamic attributes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and optimization of aerodynamic and thermal systems for advanced engineering projects.
* Utilize CFD tools and techniques to analyze and enhance the aerodynamic and thermal performance of vehicles.
* Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and development teams to ensure the successful integration of aerothermal attributes.
* Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners to deliver necessary targets.
* Support testing and validation processes to ensure adherence to performance standards and project timelines.
* Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, progress, and recommendations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in aerodynamic and thermal dynamics analysis, with a strong background in CFD.
* Hands-on experience with CFD software and tools, such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or similar.
* Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and resources effectively to achieve project goals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and precision.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Experience in the automotive or motorsport industry is highly desirable.
