The post holder will be required to work across CCC sites
The role will work in close partnership with management teams and HR colleagues to support site-based medical workforce matters.
The role will focus on supporting medical workforce productivity, deployment, medical temporary staffing (bank and agency), and effective medical recruitment.
The role will advise on medical NHS employment terms and conditions, medical staffing guidance, and best practice.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Workforce Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:
* Medical workforce planning and management of key performance indicators
* Supporting clinical divisions in the efficient use of electronic systems for effective rota and leave management for medical staff
* Consultant and SAS Job Planning cycles aligned to capacity and demand utilizing e-job planning portal
* Explore and evaluate medical workforce development solutions, including the development of non-medical roles which contribute to effective patient management and flow across the organization
* Develop and share best practice in regards to medical workforce development

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Masters level qualification or equivalent experience achieved in a medical workforce environment
* Leadership qualification or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Expertise:
* Detailed knowledge of Medical Workforce including HEE standards and NHS Medical terms and conditions
* Detailed knowledge of medical career paths and UK training programmes
* Knowledge of GMC framework and statutory regulations
* Highly developed IT Skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience
* Experience of operational management and delivery of a Medical Workforce/Medical Staffing function in NHS setting
* Experience of working with senior stakeholders to plan and deliver a broad programme of services
* Experience of coordinating Quality Assurance inspection visits
* Experience of leading on quality improvement initiatives and managing change
* Experience of policy and service development
* Experience of analysing and reporting from statistical information and taking appropriate action
* Experience of developing, implementing and managing project plans
* Experience of developing papers and reports for sub-committees and Board meetings
* Experience of developing and implementing business cases
* Experience of completing financial returns for medical education in relation to medical students and junior doctors
Work Related Circumstances
* Ability and willingness to work in multiple locations within the Trust to meet the requirements of the post
* Ability and willingness to travel outside of the organisation if required for the role
* Able to use a wide range of IT applications (word, excel, powerpoint)
