Fitch Ratings’ GlobalCore Operations team is currently seeking an Operations Associate to join our Issuance and Data Quality (IDQ) team in our Manchester Office.
The candidate will work closely with Fitch analytical teams, Operations, IT, and others to disseminate high quality, accurate content to the media and public on a timely basis, as well as minimizing operational risk by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing policies, procedures, and controls with respect to Fitch’s publishing processes.

We’ll Count on You To:
* Monitor day-to-day requests sent to an external team mailbox and respond as appropriate.
* Work closely with analysts and the Operations team to facilitate the publication of new issue ratings.
* Source and review key issue documentation to ensure it meets the rating criteria before it is published on the Fitch Ratings website.
* Ensure that the data and correspondence records are filed, keeping in line with stringent compliance requirements.
* Perform ongoing quality checks on fixed income instrument issue ratings.
* Create and maintain a good relationship with key stakeholders which includes issuers, FI analysts, and other teams within Fitch.
What You Need to Have:
* Knowledge of financial markets, fixed income instruments, and ratings.
* Experience of researching documentation for fixed income instruments using various sources would be an advantage.
* Strong administration and communication skills.
* Good Excel and numerical skills.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* High level of fluency in English; additional European languages an advantage but not a requirement.
* Ability to work within a team environment; the position is part of a small team but teamwork within the wider Operations team and company as a whole is essential.
* Understanding of and exposure to data quality checking and reporting processes.
