About the Role: A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and making a difference in children's lives. As an LSA, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted support to pupils who need extra help accessing the curriculum. The role may involve working one-to-one with a child, assisting small groups, or providing general classroom support to ensure all pupils thrive in a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Work alongside the teacher to support pupils with their learning, helping them engage with lessons and activities. ✅ Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, particularly for children with SEN or additional learning needs. ✅ Encourage independence and confidence in pupils, promoting their social and emotional development. ✅ Assist with classroom management, behaviour support, and differentiated learning activities. ✅ Provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO on pupil progress and any challenges they face. ✅ Foster a positive, inclusive, and harassment-free environment where all children feel valued and supported. Requirements: Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant (TA), or in a similar role within a primary school setting. Experience supporting children with SEN, learning difficulties, or additional needs is an advantage. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young learners.
