Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy QA Manager to join their team based in Aston. The Deputy QA Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Quality Assurance department to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are met throughout the operations. This position involves overseeing quality assurance processes, mentoring staff, and collaborating with various departments to enhance product quality and safety, all while adhering to industry regulations. Duties for the Deputy QA Manager will include but not be limited to the following: Assist the QA Manager in developing and implementing quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards. Lead and coordinate QA activities across various projects and departments to ensure product compliance and quality requirements are met. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, regulations, and best practices. Analyse quality metrics and data to identify trends, generate reports, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Support the development and delivery of training programs for staff to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and implement improvements. Review and approve inspection and testing plans, as well as related documentation, ensuring adherence to quality protocols. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to quality assurance and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the QA department. The ideal candidate for the Deputy QA Manager will have the following: Proven experience in quality assurance Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) and industry-specific regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficient in quality management tools and software. Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
