About the role
Join our Production team based in Eastbourne, where you'll lead daily operations within the factory environment to ensure the smooth running of operations, with a focus on quality, cost and delivery, leading to the provision of a world-class manufacturing facility.
* Motivate and mentor team members, conducting appraisals, creating Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and holding regular 1:1s, coaching team members to close performance gaps develop future leaders.
* Collaborate with production Coaches to review knowledge gaps and implement training, ensuring the team understands and delivers on SQDCP targets for CI.
* Oversee shift operations and ensuring efficiency across production processes, promoting a safe, organised working environment, implementing 5S principles and maintaining discipline in daily management principles.
* Lead problem solving initiatives by involving your team to resolve issues on-site. Work closely with Manufacturing and Test Engineers to address delays, to reduce disruption to production and driving ongoing improvements.
* Help maintain compliance standards within ISO9001 and ISO4001, by using Integrated Management System (IMS) policy, contributing to audits and certifications.
* Ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies are followed, conducting regular audits and championing a culture of continuous safety improvement.
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve customer and stakeholder commitments, holding the team accountable to meet targets and ensure plans are met.
* Support the shop floor with packing and production tasks where required, covering shift absences and ensuring a smooth operation at all times.
This role will be based on our early shift, which runs Monday - Friday, 06:15 - 14:15
What are we looking for?
* Experience within Production, Manufacturing or similar industry would be beneficial.
* Previous experience leading and developing teams, ideally with career development and performance management.
* Knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement practices is desirable.
