Head of Risk

As Head of Risk, you will have a critical role in shaping and enhancing risk management across the Group and ensuring that we have a risk-led approach to all that we do. You will be part of a dynamic risk, control and internal audit team and will be able to use your knowledge and skills to be a trusted and valued strategic business partner for senior leaders across the Group.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Collaboration with the Director of Risk, Control & Internal Audit and others to develop the risk management strategy
2. Implement the Group's approach to risk management through a clear risk management framework
3. Engage with stakeholders across the Group to facilitate reviews and agree and track actions to improve how we manage risk
4. Embed risk management into strategic and day to day decision making
5. Monitor and report on progress how the Group is improving how it is managing risk, in line with its risk appetite
6. Drive risk awareness and the risk culture across the Group
7. Act as a trusted advisor on risk
8. Make best use of technology to support the risk management approach
Experience/Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Detailed knowledge and experience of designing and implementing risk management frameworks and systems in large, complex international organisations
2. Proactive, can-do attitude
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills (both verbal and written)
4. Outstanding relationship management capability, including working confidently with management at all levels to build trust and credibility and ability to influence to drive change
5. Organised and able to prioritise and meet deadlines
6. Commercially aware, with a desire to work with the business to identify pragmatic solutions to enhance how we manage risk
7. Enthusiastic, confident and a team player
8. Detail-oriented with the ability to see and understand the bigger picture and generate ideas
9. Positive and open personality, with drive and self-motivation and a continuous improvement focus
10. Good problem solving, analytical and project management experience and proven track record of managing complex projects / initiatives including planning, organising, managing projects and delivering within agreed timelines
11. Curious, with a desire to learn
Desirable:
1. Risk and/or accounting qualification
2. Fluency in a second European language
