This is a fixed term Senior Lecturer in Developmental and Educational Psychology post within the Psychology & Sociology Subject Area and is offered on a part-time basis at 0.5 FTE though smaller fractions may be considered. The post will require you to undertake teaching, assessment and related activities, primarily on our BPS accredited BSc courses as well as our MSc in Psychology Conversion course. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary scholarly activities to enhance the impact and profile of the faculty’s outputs.

About you
An educational background in developmental and educational psychology is essential for this post, along with a PhD in either field. Candidates must have extensive expertise in language and literacy development, as well as experience teaching in Higher Education on the BPS core curriculum (Levels 4–7). Applied discipline knowledge is also required.
Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organisational skills are essential, along with proficiency in IT, including visual learning environments and remote teaching platforms. A commitment to delivering a personalised and supportive student learning experience is vital.
Qualifications
Essential;
* Degree qualification or equivalent in Psychology
* Doctorate in relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
* Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale
Desirable;
* Master’s degree in Educational and/or Developmental Psychology
