The Role Lancaster City Council is recruiting a General Assistant to work at the award-winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join an enthusiastic and passionate Leisure Team, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring that the facilities are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. We are looking for a focused and enthusiastic individual with a desire to contribute to the continuing success of Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and ensuring the relevant cleaning schedules are followed alongside some general maintenance duties. As such maintaining standards and will be key in ensuring we continue to provide an outstanding experience for our customers. You must be able to work as part of a team, but also able to work alone and use initiative. This role is permanent. This role is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre and the hours of work are 30 per week, on a fixed rota basis to include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Proposed rota would be - Monday 16.30 to 22.30 (6 hours), Tuesday Day Off, Wednesday 16.30 to 22.30 (6 Hours), Thursday 16.30 to 22.30 (6 Hours), Friday Day Off, Saturday 13.30 to 19.30 (6 hours) and Sunday 13.30 to 19.30 (6 Hours) About You You will identify with our organisational values of Pride, Ownership, Working Together and Ambition.
