The Oncology and Haematology services have been successful in gaining a significant financial investment, increasing the head count by an additional 79 posts across the multi-disciplinary team.
The team is looking for three competent SACT nurses to join them. The individuals must be passionate about working with cancer patients.
The post will be essential in continuing to work alongside the Band 7s in developing the nurse-led day case services, over three sites: Ottery St Mary, Cherrybrook, and Yarty Day case. The day case units deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT), Supportive Therapies, Ambulatory Medical, and Support Acute Oncology (AO) 6 days a week, with AO triage on a Sunday.
The team is looking for experienced Oncology or Haematology nurses who are competent in oncology and haematology care supported by SACT administration. The individuals must have recent experience of SACT administration across the specialty.
The post will be based on the Eastern site leading the Eastern patient-facing team but will be expected to build links with the North as part of the integration agenda.

The Oncology and Haematology Services have strong links with two on-site Charities FORCE and ELF, which provide and support holistic care for our patients while also providing clinical supervision and training opportunities for staff members.
Working Pattern
18 hours - 37.5 hours per week, includes nights and weekends.
