OVERVIEW
The Operations Lead is critical in the store leadership team and is responsible for driving and coaching to profitability and efficiency. The Operations Lead will work closely with the Operations & Visual Manager in initiating, delegating work, and providing feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Leader
1. Lead & execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
2. Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
3. Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
4. Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
5. Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
Business Leader
1. Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized.
2. Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies.
3. Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
People Leader
1. Leads by example and inspires staff in daily operations and guest experience.
2. Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent.
3. Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
Business Partner
1. Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
2. Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiatives, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC).
Operations Lead Qualifications:
1. Prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
2. Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making.
3. Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide.
4. Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team.
5. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
6. Aligns with and embodies Alo's values.
7. Proof of right to live and work in the UK.
Hourly Rate: £16-£18 per hour, depending on experience.
Operations Lead Schedule:
The Operations Lead role is full-time and requires 32-40 hours per week fulfilling the job description as stated above. To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full-time employees to be available for opening, closing and weekend shifts, which may be subject to change. All Employees are expected to be able to work from the week of and including "Black Friday" until the end of the holiday season, first week of January.
