GSK moved into a new HQ in central London during the summer of 2024. It is the base for around 3,000 people, including GSK's global leadership team, as well as teams supporting research and development, the supply chain, commercial operations, corporate functions, and ViiV Healthcare.
We now need a Communications Manager, GSK HQ, to support some crucial communications activities.
Collaborating with senior stakeholders and comms colleagues as relevant, the successful candidate will be skilled at stakeholder management, strategic internal engagement, and programme management, broadcast delivery, and impactful writing, making sure these are insight-driven, engaging, and delivered in a timely, digestible, and convenient way for maximum impact. They will also be able to demonstrate external communications capability.

In this role you will
* Own internal comms to embed new behaviors for the HQ and making the best use of our internal communications channels to deliver excellent and engaging communications plans.
* Communicate programme work to enhance the HQ workplace.
* Ensure third-party (e.g. food and facility management suppliers) site comms is on brand and on message.
* Ensure effective external comms, including by putting together a comms strategy for the onsite restaurant, Orangery, that brings together key stakeholders, councils, and local retail.
* Manage External comms (in collaboration with other local community groups, reviewing external accreditation and conference materials).
* Partner with business communications and other stakeholders.
* Develop communication which are insight-driven, engaging and delivered in a timely, digestible, and convenient way for maximum impact, aligned to our GSK brand and voice.
* Ensure visibility and alignment between internal employee communications best practice and the wider CGA priorities.
* Works within and contributes to a dynamic, fast-paced team.
* Manage and support the delivery of HQ comms through content creation - e.g., drafting accessible and inclusive messaging, facilitating the stakeholder review/approval process, and delivering engaging content and maintaining relevant intranet and other team resources, as required.
* Work to continuously improve communications, through measurement and insights that lead to greater effectiveness.
* Proactively look for new, innovative, and creative approaches to communications that drive effectiveness and impact.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* Experience of working on communications across a variety of internal and external audiences for major public or private sector organisations, or in an agency specialising in communications.
* Qualified to Degree level or experience in delivering role-critical information to people.
* Strong interpersonal skills with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
* Understanding of best practices in employee engagement, monitoring trends and innovations in the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Strong project management skills.
* Strong logistics and organisational skills, i.e., background in designing, planning, and executing large meetings for internal audiences, with attention to detail and the full audience-experience.
* Preferable: Experience with SharePoint systems and intranet page maintenance.
