Within the team, you will positively impact biodiversity, acting as steward for projects that will improve the flora and fauna of designated areas. Alongside our established team of passionate ecologists, you will collaborate on reports and surveys. As a growing business, based in the arboricultural, ecological and landscape development industries, we are focused on providing a high-quality service to all our clients. Our expertise includes:
* Protected species surveys (including bats)
* Preliminary ecological appraisals
* UK habitat mapping and classification
* Biodiversity net gain assessments
Utilising your breadth of experience across various aspects of ecology, you will be responsible for conducting surveys throughout the UK. Predominantly working with clients submitting planning applications, you will be organised and self-motivated, communicating confidently with both customers and the internal team, alike, along with being comfortable working to tight deadlines.
You will…
* Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology (or related subject)
* Demonstrate knowledge of core ecological surveys and protected species surveys, including bats and biodiversity net gain
* Hold a Class 2 Bat Licence (EPS Great Crested Newt and other protected species licences would be ideal)
* Be willing to travel throughout the UK on a regular basis. Driving license preferable.
* Be a competent Microsoft Office user (specifically Word and Excel)
