Job summary
Bay Medical Group are recruiting for a Urgent Care Team Support. The purpose of this role is to improve the provisionof management support for the Patient Advisor and clinical assessment team byassisting in the day to day running of the Admin and Telephone rooms at WestEnd Surgery alongside the Urgent Care Manager and in their absence.
Main duties of the job
This role is advertised at hours per week. This post holder will work floating shifts and shifts will be allocated 4 weeks in advance.

In addition, duties include:
URGENT CARE SUPERVISO
Assist in the supervision of Patient Advisors within the Admin and Telephone rooms alongside the Urgent Care Managers.
Ensuring patients calls/requests are answered in a timely manner.
Ensure any issues with the Telephone system are raised with the relevant team.
Be involved in the continual development of the AccuRX/Total Triage process.
Compile and disseminate weekly Patient Advisor Team Briefings alongside other Site Support team members.
Assisting with the training and development of new team members both in the Telephone and admin room and to the wider team on PLT afternoons and induction.
Maintenance and updating Telephone and Admin room notice boards.
Management of cancellation voicemail service alongside the PA Management team.
Understand and be able to close phones and online services as required in the absence of the managers.
Communication with Clinical Assessment Team regarding appointments and availability as required.
Able to add and amend clinics as required in absence of Rota team.
Monitor appointment demand, highlighting shortages to the clinical assessment team and adding extras where required.
Being a point of contact for general queries from all team members.
Assist with Health and Safety aspects of the Site eg Fire Tours in the absence of Site/UC Manager.
Full understanding and location of Business Continuity Plan.
Reporting sickness of all PA Team and Clinicians and informing relevant teams in absence of UC Manager
To have basic training and knowledge of site duties in the event of sickness absence.
Support and liaise with ClinicalAssessment Team with the day-to-day management of AccuRx requests and inboxes.
To be flexible and reliable for the needs of the Urgent CareManagement Team.
Attend 3 monthly Support team meetings, taking and typingminutes on a rota basis as required.
Resolving queries, complaints and concerns from patients, inline with the practice policy and liaising with other department managers asrequired, in the absence of the UC manager.
