This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key ledgers, work with high-value clients, and contribute to process improvements within one of the UK's most innovative and successful companies. What you’ll be doing: In this role, you'll be responsible for: Ledger Ownership : Managing and proactively chasing overdue debts via phone and email to ensure ageing is minimised. Customer Engagement : Investigating and resolving inbound queries, providing high-quality customer service to facilitate payment resolution. Account Management : Updating customer contact details, payment information, and statuses in the finance system while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Problem-Solving : Resolving issues such as "no PO, no pay" scenarios, reconciling customer accounts, and sending copy invoices and statements where needed. Team Collaboration : Providing clear debtor updates to the sales team, covering for colleagues on other ledgers during holidays, and assisting with inbound queries for our largest business unit. Process Improvement : Participating in mini-projects to enhance credit control processes and supporting the manager in resolving ad hoc issues. What we're looking for: To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Proven Experience : At least four years of experience in a corporate credit control team within a large organisation. Exceptional Communication Skills : Confidence in speaking to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, and the ability to write clear, concise correspondence. A Proactive Mindset : You enjoy taking ownership of your workload, planning next steps, and delivering results independently once priorities are set. Analytical Skills : Strong Excel skills and the ability to sort and analyse financial information with ease. Attention to Detail : A commitment to accuracy and a focus on delivering high-quality work that reflects our brand values. Problem-Solving Expertise : A track record of resolving aged debt and handling complex customer situations with professionalism and tenacity.
