As a specialist occupational therapist in Community Hospitals you will have the opportunity to champion the key values of your profession.

We strongly believe our therapy teams within our community hospitals play a vital role in the health and well-being of our patients and for our wider communities as a whole. Working alongside the MDT, you will have the opportunity to create bespoke treatment plans for complex patients.By working proactively to identify current and possible future needs we can empower people to manage their own care and reduce their future dependence on services.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside individuals with a range of health conditions including stroke, fractures and amputees. A key aspect of this will involve assessment of frailty and providing meaningful support for people with palliative health conditions. We focus on meaningful occupation on the ward, and provide assessment and intervention both individually and in groups.
