We now have a great opportunity for a dynamic individual who would like a chance to develop their Health and Safety skills in our great purpose-built offices and state-of-the-art warehouse.
To assist the Health and Safety Manager with the following key tasks:
1. The creation, review, cataloguing and amendment of Risk Assessments
2. Assist with the creation, review, cataloguing and amendment of Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of work
3. The creation, review, cataloguing and amendment of COSHH Assessments
4. Monthly compliance checks such as Fire Extinguishers, First Aid kits and regular walk round checks
5. Update the site Health and Safety noticeboards
6. Creation and distribution of site Safety Alerts
7. Administer audit documentation and follow up actions
8. Assist with legal compliance tasks such as Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella checks, LOLER, PUWER checks and Racking inspections
9. Ensure all contractors and sub-contractors have relevant documentation for review
10. Arranging the ordering and replenishing of PPE/First Aid Equipment etc.
11. Facilitate training courses as required
12. Attend Health and Safety meetings as required
13. Deputise for the Health and Safety Manager in meetings to cover annual leave, sickness and conflicts
14. Supervise contractors and sub-contractors where needed
15. Prepare accident, incident, near miss and hazard data for investigations and meetings where necessary
16. Escalation of issues to the Health and Safety Manager where necessary
17. Cover of other tasks within the facilities department
