WHAT TO EXPECT
The role is part of our Digital Product Platform (DPP) team, who create highly desirable customer and business facing applications and products. This role reports into the manager of the Body Electronics Hardware team based in Gaydon and rolls up into our leadership within Product Engineering organisation at JLR.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
1. Working with the restraint module team to deliver the component to quality, cost and time
2. Work with a supplier to deliver electronic hardware validation plans (for example, environmental testing, Electronics Sign off review, EMC), and software validation plans
3. Assist in the resolution of issues with sub-system teams, and work with the subject matter expert and the supplier in investigating and resolving issue in both hardware and software to develop designs that meet targets
4. Ensure all appropriate JLR standards are met throughout design maturation
5. Provide input into new feature and function development
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes
2. Previous experience in working with stakeholders to meet their requirements
3. Electronic component or Control Unit experience
4. Previous experience of working with suppliers to deliver a product
5. Strong teamwork ethic and communication skills
