Role
It is an exciting time to join our clients as they are expanding, helping more rural communities get better connected. They are looking for friendly, customer-focused individuals to join their installations teams in the Inverness Shire and Sutherland areas - training can be provided.
Their team of fibre engineers works on the front line and installs fibre network connections to customers' properties. You will report to the Fibre Team Leader and carry out work as part of a scheduled appointment diary. This role is part of a busy team deploying the rapid rollout of ultra-fast fibre networks in rural towns and villages across Scotland.
Responsibilities
1. Carrying out excavation works through customers’ gardens.
2. Attending customer properties to introduce Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) services by pulling/blowing cables through underground networks from cabinets or chambers to customer properties.
3. Liaising with customers to discuss all routing through their gardens/property before commencing activities.
4. Clearing blockages in customer properties by way of soft excavations.
5. Working on overhead network, where required.
6. Completing internal cabling works, including fitting of customer’s CPE.
7. Undertaking full testing of equipment to ensure it is fully operational and educating customers on product use.
8. Promoting positive reviews of customer experience.
9. Evening and Saturday working hours, where required.
Requirement
1. Telecoms qualifications or accreditations (Desirable).
2. Motivated with a Can Do Attitude.
3. Used to working outdoors in all weathers (adequate PPE is provided).
4. Good communication skills.
5. Telecoms background or interest.
6. Full UK Driving Licence.
