Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the medical practice team, offering face to face and telephone contact with patients and working alongside our friendly reception / care navigation team and the wider spread clinical and administrative staff.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are to offer care navigation to patients, including appointment booking and triage, completing prescription requests, general office duties such as photocopying, filing and scanning letter, secretarial duties like completion of referrals.

Job responsibilities
The role involves daily face-to-face and telephone contact with patients, working within our friendly Reception & Care Navigation team. Supporting and liaising with our Admin and healthcare team of over forty people.
You will be trained to:
1. Offer Care Navigation to patients, obtaining information in order to ensure you arrange the most appropriate care for patients.
2. Complete prescription requests.
You will also be involved in general office administration - processing tasks from clinical staff within the practice, scanning letters, filing, and photocopying.
We are looking for somebody that is flexible and adaptable; confident in computer use and with a passion for helping and supporting patients.
Full training programme offered - this is both internal and external and is fully funded and supported by the practice. Our new team members will be supported by a mentor.

4. Previous experience working within a GP practice or the NHS however this is not essential and we are able to provide a robust training plan for all staff including those without experience.
