Robert Half is pleased to partner with a global FMCG business looking to hire their next Commercial Finance Analyst. The role will report into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for supporting the wider business with financial and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience with project analysis and creating business cases to inform commercial decisions.
Role Responsibilities:
Business Reporting
1. Analyse & drive Brand revenue and profitability
2. Attend regular meetings i) weekly trading ii) monthly exec iii) sales & customer support reviews as and when required
3. Help drive aligned costing process for the UK, drive CPI calculations for commodity increases
4. Support IBP process including leading Integrated Reconciliation stage
5. Preparation, analysis and commentary relating to key sales performance indicators
6. Develop and improve business models in conjunction with the finance team i.e. EBITDA by Brand / factory
7. Merge divisional finance structure into functional, simplifying reporting and improving efficiency
8. Promotional evaluation - effectiveness and efficiency
9. Business Partner with the Marketing team, understanding and improving reporting for Marketing & Advertising ROI
Budget and Forecasting
10. Preparation of budgets and forecasts, detailed challenge and review with senior stakeholders and Sales Director
11. Drive "bottom up" Budgeting and forecasting processes - annually and quarterly - presenting to exec and group
12. Design and drive assumptions for 3Y Planning
13. Strategic input into the direction of the UK business
14. Maintain "short term" forecasts
15. Decision support - scenario analysis and what ifs
16. Risks and Opportunities tracking
Systems
17. Support the successful development and embedding of the new sales forecasting system, ensuring the tool can be utilised by commercial finance for effective reporting and business planning
18. Support the automation of regular reports through the development of a B.I environment, working with the Data & insights Controller
