Job Description
1. Manage the income team to maximise income collection and minimise arrears.
2. Ensure that all income-related activities align with the organisation's financial strategy.
3. Lead on arrears lifecycle of Housing Law, Landlord and Tenant Act, Welfare Reform and legal procedures and documentation.
4. Develop and implement robust income management policies and procedures.
5. Prepare and present regular income reports to senior management.
6. Work closely with stakeholders to improve income performance.
7. Lead on the management of rent and service charge setting.
8. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation.
9. Maintain a high level of customer service and stakeholder engagement.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Income Manager should have:
1. Experience including knowledge of preparing legal documents, attending court and managing evictions for rent arrears.
2. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Proven experience in income management or a similar role.
4. Thorough knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong proficiency in using financial software and systems.
7. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
