Job Description:
We are seeking a Secondary SEN Tutor to join our team in Croydon, Greater London. As a Temporary Part-Time position, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialised educational support to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Job Duties:
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEN
* Assess students' learning styles and adapt teaching methods accordingly
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions
* Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support as necessary
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create comprehensive learning plans
Required Qualifications:
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Education:
Minimum of a relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of SEN support strategies
* Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials
* Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
* Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs
Working Conditions:
This role involves working on a part-time basis, providing support to students during school hours. The ability to travel to different school locations within Croydon may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
