Job Summary
We are offering a full-time permanent level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship, progressing to Level 4 Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to develop and work in a complex, fast-paced Supply Chain function where no two days are the same. The apprenticeship will combine on-the-job work experience with time at college.
What You’ll Do at Work
* The Purchasing Coordinator will spend time working with the procurement team covering the end-to-end Supply Chain process.
* Learning to place Purchase Orders and maintain Purchase order confirmations.
* Tracking and progressing Purchase Orders.
* Expediting purchases directly with suppliers.
* Assisting vendors, warehouse, and finance functions.
* Supporting timely data entry & document distribution for Import Customs operations.
* Learning national/international shipping and logistical processes, law, and operations.
* You will be involved in the planning phases of manufacturing operations.
Where You’ll Work
You will be based from our manufacturing facility in Great Yarmouth.

Your Training Plan
You will enrol in the level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant apprenticeship leading to Level 4 Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner qualification with The Apprentice Academy. You will do your college work on day release but will complete the course remotely.
Requirements / Essential Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5) essential.
* GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5) essential.

After This Apprenticeship
You will be offered a full-time role after completing your apprenticeship with us. From there you could progress into more senior roles with Johnson Controls. Many of our apprentices have moved into Senior Leadership roles over the course of their career.

What’s Next?
Suitable candidates will be contacted via email to provide their evidence of required certifications. Once we receive the evidence of certification you will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre, where you will participate in a practical assessment, meet the team, and have an interview.
Candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can expect to begin the apprenticeship with Johnson Controls in the late summer of 2025.
