The Role
Lancaster City Council is looking for a Wedding Coordinator - Duty Supervisor to join our team at Williamson Park, one of the North West’s premier tourist attractions. With over 200,000 visitors a year and more than 120 weddings and events hosted at the iconic Ashton Memorial, we are seeking a dynamic and committed individual to maintain our excellent reputation.
In this role, you will oversee the booking, organisation, and smooth running of weddings and events, ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. From outdoor theatre to art exhibitions, you will play a key part in delivering memorable events.
As Shop Supervisor, you will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the gift shop and reception area, ensuring stock is well-maintained and customer service is of the highest standard. You will also support duty supervision across the site, including the café, admissions, and customer inquiries.
We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. Experience in wedding and event management, hospitality, and customer service is essential.
A full UK driving licence is required, though reasonable adjustments will be made for those unable to drive due to a disability. As a result, you will be required to sign up to the authorised external DVLA driving licence validation organisation that we use to manage and monitor our employees' driving licence data.
This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays in line with business needs. This post is based at Williamson Park.
