ESNEFT are looking for an effective leader to be Head of Service having responsibility for the leadership, provision and development of Information Governance across East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
• Lead as the Trust’s representative on behalf of the Director of Governance for the Information Governance agenda by liaising with appropriate colleagues in the Trust and the local health community.
• Ensure that the Data Security & Protection Toolkit is completed in line with national targets and compile realistic Information Governance plans, review and report progress regularly to the Information Governance Group.
• Promote and encourage compliance with Information Governance guidance and legislation throughout the Trust.
• Investigate and advise on complex issues relating to information governance incidents and to ensure any recommendations are implemented
• Responsible for leading and maintaining the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act in accordance with national guidance and legislation.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with and submitting evidence against the Data Security & protection Toolkit on behalf of the Trust.
• Responsible for co-ordinating IG advice between ESNEFT and the ICS.
• Responsible for ensuring the Trust has a robust system in place for sharing information with enforcement/regulatory bodies such as the Police, ICO and GMC.
• Responsible for the DSPT/CAF submission, including chairing CAF Group meetings, coordinating and obtaining formal sign-off for the baseline and main submissions, act as the first point of call on all CAF/DSPT related matters with auditors and other external and internal stakeholders on an annual basis.
• To lead a Trust-wide Data flow mapping exercise, and to establish and maintain an information asset register working with identified information asset owners across the Trust.
